Planning a Cruise Vacation

If you are a sea lover, going on a cruise is a vacation made in heaven. Check out our tips for a smooth holiday while cruising the beautiful Sporades islands in Greece.

Sailing has been part of humanity for thousands of years and is perhaps one of the oldest ways of transportation. So it is not a surprise that often sailing can be compared to freedom. Conquering the waves, feeling the wind, and gazing out to the open sea makes you feel free, strong, and untouchable.

Today, for people who love the sea and seek a carefree long vacation, a cruise is perhaps the best choice.

Greece is obviously a famous destination because of its beautiful crystal-clear waters and the thousands of incredible islands.

BabaSails Yachting allows you to go for a week-long cruise at the stunning Sporades islands. Here is what you need to know for the cruise and what you should prepare before the beginning of your journey.

The journey has three different starting points from Halkidiki. These are Marina Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort, Porto Carras, and Neos Marmaras.

The trip consists of staying offshore Kyra Panagia, visiting the fantastic beaches of Alonnisos, the famous “Mamma Mia” island, Skopelos, and Steni Vella, Skatzoura, and Xero.

On the journey, you will encounter incredible beaches, uninhabited islands with unique nature, and beautiful, cosmopolitan islands to experience the carefree lifestyle of the Greek islanders. Furthermore, you will swim in the magnificent waters of the Aegean Sea and feel free with the summer breeze and the bright sun caressing your skin.

Before you depart for the cruise, you should make sure you bring some essential things. Since you will be almost all day long outside in the hot sun of Greece, you should not forget sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.

Also, as you will obviously be on a cruise, a swimsuit is a must. But also other water-proof clothes.

However, at nighttime while on a cruise, it can get chilly, so make sure to have a thin jacket or other warm clothes. Furthermore, as you will have the chance to visit and explore the islands, it would be wise to have good walking shoes. Last but not least, you should not forget medicine for nausea in case of motion sickness.
